Kia Orana! 🌴🏝️

With crystal-clear lagoons, warm Polynesian hospitality, and a pace of life that feels like a reset button, the Cook Islands are one of the most authentic and beautiful destinations in the South Pacific.

Here’s why I always recommend them:

1. Aitutaki Lagoon – One of the Most Beautiful in the World

Often called the jewel of the Cook Islands, Aitutaki’s lagoon is famous for its impossibly turquoise water, shallow sandbars, and vibrant marine life. Day trips from Rarotonga include snorkelling, beach picnics on One Foot Island, and that famous “picture-perfect” view.

2. Rarotonga – The Perfect Mix of Culture & Relaxation

The main island offers everything from lush inland hikes and waterfalls to relaxed beach days. The people are warm, the food is delicious (try an umu feast!), and the island is small enough to explore easily by scooter or car.

3. Authentic Polynesian Experience

Unlike some more commercialised destinations, the Cook Islands still feel genuine. You’ll experience traditional dance, local markets, and a strong connection to the land and sea — perfect for travellers wanting more than just a beach holiday.

4. Ideal for Families, Couples & Honeymoons

Safe, relaxed, and family-friendly with plenty of luxury options too. Many of my clients return year after year.

Best time to visit: May to October (dry season, excellent weather for snorkelling and island hopping).

Ready to experience the Cook Islands for yourself?

I create personalised itineraries that combine the best of Rarotonga, Aitutaki, and the outer islands — tailored to your budget, travel style, and dates.
